Getting Started with Video

Video enables high quality video production through a list of preset sequences. After selecting a template, users can then change the PrCodes and select a purpose for your video, Web, Playback or Master. When selected, each Purpose will filter the default Profile settings, which determines which codec and pixel format is to be used for the encoding.

Use Cases 01 - Dynamic Video Production

Video allows users to quickly export pre-defined video sequences. Once the sequence and purpose has been selected, the video can be exported for use on websites, social media campaigns, or advertising/marketing ads.

The Video Interface

All templates in the Video app are pre-defined. If you would to add another template, please get in touch with us at support@zerolight.com, or raise a ticket through the Service Desk portal.

The Video app workspace has five parts:

1) The Top Menu.

2) Input Menu

3) Output Menu

4) Controls Menu

5) Viewport Area

Top Menu

Top Menu displays your current Team, the App you are in, and the name of the model you are currently working on. Click on the app name easily switch from one app to another. The right side of of the Top Menu also has the Shopping Cart button to see your current orders and a thumbnail of your photo, which when clicked, will lead you to your account and order information.

The Viewport

The Viewport is located at the centre of Spotlight’s UI and displays the image. At the bottom of the Viewport is a menu which contains the icons to the Environment and the video controls; Play, Pause & Restart Sequence.

The Input Menu

The Input Menu displays the PrCode configuration tool and template selector enabling users to select videos from the list of preset sequences.

The Output Menu

The Output Menu houses the Output Format tab, used for exporting your video. It includes the Single Render and Multi Render buttons which can be used for exporting single or multiple sequences, as well as the price of your current order.
